APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #11-0023 FOR ATHLETIC CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
Description
Bids to provide 'Athletic Clothing and Equipment' were received from 11 vendors on April 14, 2011. The bids of Allen Sports Center, Aluminum Athletic Equipment Company, Gilman Gear, MFAC, LLC, Neff Motivation, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Riddell, Sports Supply Group, Inc., dba BSN, Passon's, US Games, and Varsity Spirit Fashions/CDT were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the operating and internal account budgets of the schools.
Recommendation
That the bids of Allen Sports Center, Aluminum Athletic Equipment Company, Gilman Gear, MFAC, LLC, Neff Motivation, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Riddell, Sports Supply Group, Inc., dba BSN, Passon's US Games, and Varsity Spirit Fashions/CDT, to provide 'Athletic Clothing and Equipment' in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
